Who’s The Man?
I wanted to go back and revisit one of the most ferocious fighters of all time. This guy had a punch that could knock out a damn grizzly bear. I’m talking about iron Mike Tyson on this go around and his ability to achieve all the glorious material items along the way.
I know you remember this guy from back in the day? How could you forget him? He was the fear that people talked about looking at them in the face. I remember watching a lot of his fights in awe on how he could generate so much power with each one of his punches. I’m going to say he was the most powerful puncher in boxing history. Not to discredit some of the greats like George Foreman, Sunny Listen, Muhammad Ali, but Tyson was it.
I often compare these athletes to animals that I see in the back-country. Tyson had the swat of a grizzly bear for sure. The way he moves with his counterintuitive techniques would get you owned if you weren’t careful, but come to think of it how many of us get hit by Tyson on a regular basis? : )
There’s something about Tyson’s story that is very appealing. I think its the rise and fall of a champion and how he had everything, but felt as if he had nothing. With millions in the bank and the ability to travel the world he was still a prisoner in his own mind. Money doesn’t buy happiness as they say!

Mindset
Big iron Mike had the mindset of a conqueror when it came to the ring. They also say he visualized himself destroying all challengers or anyone who would cross paths with him. To a certain degree you should do the same in your sport. Keep it controlled focused effort during competition, left unchecked your mind can run rampant on you. Turn it on when you need it then shut it off when you don’t.
The great athletes simply tell themselves or reinforce positive repetitive thoughts to the mind about what needs to be done. Positive thoughts bring good results and negative thoughts bring bad results. Visualize, see and feel what you want to do then act upon it and do it.
You can bring the result you want almost automatically, but often depends on the intensity of the thought and how much feeling your putting into it. The stronger the feeling the more rapid the response. Is this why Iron Mike would devour his opponents so fast? I mean the guy would often times throw some intense shots at people and they would go flying. We can learn from this!
On the field or in the weight room be intense and train explosively. After all we want to be as athletic and explosive as possible so we can move effortlessly when we need to. Imagine what slow repetitive movements do to the body? Train fast to be fast like Iron Mike!
That last video explains a lot on how success can be obtained through repetitive thoughts to the mind. The reinforcement of ideas and good thoughts to the mind will bring great accomplishments to any individual who applies it. If you Want to get into the best shape of your life, think about it everyday constantly and you will. See yourself doing something from within then perform.
